A 22 YEAR OLD MALE WITH DENGUE FEVER

CHEIF COMPLIANT:
A 22 year old male who is car driver by occupation came with the chief complaint of fever,chills,cough With expectoration,headache backache,generlized body pains since 1week
HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS:
patient was apparently asymptomatic 1 week back,then he developed fever with chills(high grade) intermittent rise in temperature with headache and cough which is productive (white colour),and generalized body pains.
HISTORY OF PAST ILLNESS
Patient is , last binge 10 days back.
N/k/c/o DM , BA, EPILEPSY.

PERSONAL HISTORY:
HABITS: alcoholic,he used to smoke few months back .
He follows a mixed diet. 
Appetite -Normal,
Bladder movements- normal 
Bowel movements- Normal . 
Sleep- Adequate.

FAMILY HISTORY: No significant family history.

GENERAL EXAMINATION : 
patient is conscious ,coherrent, co operative and well oriented to surroundings. He is moderately built and nourished.
No Pallor ,no cyanosis, icterus++, no lymphadenopathy.
PHYSICAL EXAMINATION-:vitals 

.temperature-:afibrile 

.pulse rate -:82/min

.resp rate -:18/min 

.Bp -:90/70

 SYSTEMIC EXAMINATION 

CVS-; 

        S1,S2 HEARD 

        NO MURMERS 



RESPIRATORY SYSTEM-:

         No dyspnea 

          No wheeze 

          Position of trachea -;central 

ABDOMEN-:

          Shape scaphoid 

  Flanks:full, umblicus: center position, inverted shape 

Skin:no scars present no dilated veins seen

Movements of abdomen wall are equal with inspiration

PALPATION 

          Tenderness in right lumber region 

          No palpable mass 

           No palpable spleen and liver 



CNS-:

         Consious, coherent ,cooperative 

         Speech norml

         No neck stiffness 

SENSORY SYSTEM :-

        Able to percieve-:pain , temp
INVESTIGATION
Complete blood picture
Renal and liver function tests
